The Warton Hoard
The hoard was discovered in 1997 at Tewitfield, Warton near Carnforth on the north-eastern margins of Morecombe Bay.
The hoard consisted of hack silver, bent bars a section of an ingot and three Kufic coins and date to the early tenth century.
