The ringfort was found in a field belonging to the Vallo Diocese estate, near Køge, Denmark in September 2014.
The newly-discovered ringfort was found in a field belonging to the Vallo Diocese estate, near Køge, Denmark in September 2014.
C14 dating has confirmed that this fort dates to the 900s. The four other circular fortresses known in Denmark have been dated to the reign of Harald Bluetooth in the late 900s. The construction of this fortress is very similar to the others and the Danish Castle Centre believes that this fortress is also likely to from the reign of Harald Bluetooth.
